KIGU MOTHER OF PEARL VINTAGE POWDER COMPCT
This is a Kigu powder compact - probably from the 1950-1970s. It has a top of square pieces of mother of pearl with a gold tone, scalloped edge. The bottom is a circular, machine cut design. Inside is an unused, pressed powder container and it has a sieve and a powder puff. It does not have a pouch or a box. The mirror is in good condition - as is the rest of the compact. I think it is unused. There are no dents or scratches on the gilt metal or the mother of pearl - which are also in very good condition. It measures about 3 inches in diameter. There is a wealth of information about Kigu on the internet so I have not included any details here. The company made so many distinctive compacts including the famous Flying Saucer compact.
