1970s Italian Red & Grey Ceramic Glazed Vase

£ 195

A large 1970s mottled red and grey ceramic glazed vase.  The bulbous body of an intense mottled red with a wonderful shimmering glaze narrows towards the neck where the colour turns to a molten grey of varying shades.  The vase is unmarked on the black base therefore the designer or manufacturer is unknown

The uneven line where the red turns to grey results in the vase looking slightly different from each side. The heavy thick glaze reflects the light beautifully.  A very well made and heavy vase which is perfect for long stem flowers and could even be used as a flower vase.  Perfect to add colour to a sideboard or shelving unit in a living or dining room.  It has a real wow factor.  In good vintage condition with three barely noticeable scratches on the glaze.  There are some small black drip marks inside the glaze which I believe must be included in the design.
