1970s Murano Glass Mazzega Style Pendant Light

£ 550

1970s  Murano glass pendant ceiling light in the style of Italian lighting manufacturer Mazzega. The lamp features an undulating waved design reminiscent of a flower.  The Murano glass exterior has a smooth finish, in contrast, the underside is textured. The hand blown, heavy and thick glass, features a wonderful deep amber golden colour around the outside edge with a lighter 1cm line in between before it becomes clearer towards the top. The glass shade is suspended from a chrome bulb holder fitting and which is suspended from the ceiling by a textured linked chain which has been hammered.  The individual inks can be removed or added to adjust the height to your requirements.

The canopy does have some age related mottling to the chrome.  Rewired and in full working order with a silver silk flex which is threaded through the chain. Perfect for a living or dining room perhaps for above a table where it can hang low above it. A single E27 screw in bulb for the UK or an E26 bulb for the USA, is required.

Dimensions: Diameter: 45cm Overall Adjustable Height: 70cm Glass Shade Height: 20cm
